How it works

- Check it and downloadPick the job: vinyl, sticker, laser cutting or engraving. The checks flag pieces too small for it at the size you set. Download the SVG, or a PNG.
What the vinyl checks look for
- Flags shapes smaller than 1 mm
- Flags parts thinner than 0.8 mm, which tend to burn away, tear or snap
- Checks open paths, duplicate lines and heavy node counts
Starting limits for typical materials. Set your own in the studio, and test on a scrap piece before you cut.
What works well
- A style draws only the pet the photo shows, in the same pose, with its own markings and nothing added.
- For a shirt, a mug, a slate or an ornament, set the width and height in millimeters or inches before you download.
Questions
- Does the free trace work on a pet photo?
- Yes. A photo traces as a photo, in as many colors as it needs, which suits stickers. For one-color vinyl or a laser, a style such as Silhouette or Line art redraws it in shapes a machine can cut.
- Will the style still look like my pet?
- It keeps the pose, the proportions and the markings the photo shows, and draws only what is in it. If one style doesn’t suit the photo, try another, or another photo.
- How much does a style cost?
- One credit for each picture redrawn. New accounts get credits to try, and paid plans come with credits every month. The free trace never uses credits.
- Can I make a pet ornament or a slate?
- Yes. Pick laser cutting for a cut-out ornament, or engraving for slate and wood, set the size, and download the SVG for your laser software.
